A cozy, high-protein Healthy Hot Chocolate Smoothie with a rich chocolate flavor, naturally sweetened, and perfect for a nourishing breakfast or post-workout winter drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup milk of choice (dairy or unsweetened almond/oat/soy)

  • ½ frozen banana

  • 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa or raw cacao powder

  • 1 scoop chocolate or vanilla protein powder

  • 1 tbsp nut butter (almond/peanut/cashew)

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

  • ½ tsp cinnamon (optional)

  • ½1 tsp maple syrup or honey, to taste

  • 34 ice cubes (if serving cold)

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a blender.

  • Blend on high until smooth and creamy.

  • Taste and adjust sweetness or thickness as needed.

 

  • Serve immediately. For a warm version, gently heat the milk before blending and blend briefly.

Notes

  • Make it vegan: use plant-based milk + plant protein + maple syrup.

  • Thicker: add more frozen banana or 1 tbsp oats.

  • Mocha variation: add 1 shot espresso.

 

  • Warm version: do not boil the milk; just warm it before blending.
